LanguageGuide.org offers pictorial vocabulary guides in several languages. Hovering over a picture allows you to hear the pronunciation. See the About page for further details.

WordSteps helps students learn vocabulary in several languages. The site can be used without registering. Registering allows users to create word lists.

Sylvia Duckworth has a blog, eTools for Language Teachers for beginner French Students and their teachers.

The International Children’s Library has books for children from age 3 to 13 to read online.
There is a choice of several languages, click on Read Books to search for books, the language can be changed from the Search page.
